What the Code says about: Private Addiction - Shopping Behind Closed Doors....

The glow of the artificial light, click, click, send...the thrill of the chase, the satisfaction of the find, knowing you scored a deal, right there in the comfort of your own living room. Genius. Websites like Gilt Groupe and HauteLook, among others, are making a killing marketing to those of us who love to shop, can't pass of a good deal, and have no time to hit the stores spending valuable time looking for that perfect sweater, signature perfume, date night dress or stiletto. In fact, I know a lot of women who shop online, have the products shipped to their work, and think their husbands are none the wiser. Smart? Yes. Devious? Depends on who you talk to I guess and what their husbands views are on the matter.

The downside to private shopping in your own home is there is no dressing room for size checks. The upside? Delivery right to your front door and the opportunity to browse high-end fashions at discounted rates making you feel like you are part of a signature elite fashionista club. And if you shop enough like I do, you really don't need a dressing room to know what brand fits your body right, and what size will work.

The only question is, do you get as much satisfaction from the click and type of a button as you do from the swipe of your card at the counter? In my opinion, while there is no replacement for the actual department store or mall experience, we all have to make certain sacrifices in order to keep up with fashion, home, and business.

Getting 4-5 samples of premium beauty products tailored to your desire in the mailbox once a month...sounds genius, too good to be true! but is it??? For only 10 bucks a month... "BIRCH BOX"

promised to deliver with big expectations from me. Between working all day, commuting, and coming home, cleaning up the house, laundry, dishes, making dinner, cleaning up dinner, even in the summer it's dark before I even change my clothes...then it's online shopping time - the stores are closed! What is a girl to do?

I signed up for this service 3 weeks ago and still haven't received by box! I am slowly losing interest so hopefully the box delivers and has amazing products in it....I will post what is in the box each month and review the products for quality, effectiveness, price/value, etc.

loving the vintage silk tops for this summer! and i would have never found out about it had i not stumbled into a little consignment shop in manhattan beach!
