Ginger Detox Tonic (home made)
8.02.2011
I have been getting pretty creative with how to down supplements lately and ingest all these vitamins, probiotics, roots, enzymes and oils. Yes, this is what my daily supplement regime looks like as of late.
Good times. But on a positive note, for a girl who wouldn't even take a vitamin let alone willingly gag down multiple pills - I have been diligent and hope it pays off soon!
25 drops B complex (Rasberry)
4 oz Ginger (also super good on its own)
packet of Emercen-C
Fill with water and squeeze whole lime
Why Ginger? Ginger has been recognized as a wonderful remedy for things such as nausea, digestive problems, circulation and arthritis. Ginger is also known to have the ability to calm an upset stomach and to promote the flow of bile (ew). Stomach cramps can be eased and circulation can also be improved. Ginger supports a healthy cardiovascular system by making platelets less sticky (also ew) which in turn reduces circulatory problems.
Ginger oil used for massage can help relieve painful arthritis due to its anti-inflammatory properties. Ginger is often included in many herbal decongestants and can help to minimise the symptoms of respiratory conditions, colds and allergies.
